Lana Del Rey’s Video Games Connects with Germans

Hailed as ‘Best New Track’ by Pitchfork this August, ‘Video Games’ with Lana Del Ray was also featured on Gossip Girl. Pitchfork called the song ‘husky and sensual in a way that hits the sweet spot Cat Power has abdicated since The Greatest, lyrically, “Video Games” reads more like a prelude to “Lived in Bars”.’

Released in October,  the track has struck a chord with Germans, topping the Media Control singles chart this week ahead of Taio Cruz’s and Flo Rida’s ‘Hangover.’
